Amazing news - I always thought they were a waste of time, but looks like it's worth doing if you think you did well? My first lab attempt is on April 26th!

Read my comment.... edit the sunhme.c file manually if you are having issues.

Ofcourse if you don't actually have the sunhme.c file then you have a bigger issue than my patch not working...

If you are having issues getting the patch to work you can always carry out the changes yourself, if you look in the patch file you can see the lines marked with (-) are the lines you change and after the change they should look like the lines prepended with a (+).

David, if you are not sure about a topic, go and ask the procotor, thats what they are for and not just playing big brother. I dont know how many times I did ask the proctor on my second (sucessfull) attempt but it did work out :)

Yeah, I'm sure it's not the technical stuff that's kept you from passing. From the bootcamp and from talking to you I know how technically sound you are.

I definitely think that the issue doesn't lie with my config skills but instead on the understanding of the question, next time I am just going to have to check my config and then read through every question and ensure there are no mistakes in the way I have understood them.

I can feel with you as this is hard.
In regards on what to do for the next time, If you really feel comfortable with the topics in the lab, you maybe have an issue with the correct understanding of the task? this should be something you maybe can work out after the lab if you go through your mental notes of the lab itself.

Do you also have a process to check if the configuration you just did also works?

You still did really well for your first attempt David! As you have seen now passing is not only about technical skills otherwise I'm sure you would have passed it in your first attempt. You just need to brush up on some things and come in with a different strategy for Config the next time and I'm sure you'll pass.

Btw, have you heard anyone else from the bootcamp taking the lab? Whonder how it went for that american french guy :)

The 2951 is an ISR G2 and therefore has a universal IOS that then has features activated according to the license that you have for it.

Take a look at the 'show version' and see what license is listed, for crypto you will need something like the security license.
